Changing it up a bit

Ok, so I’ve had a developer’s subscription to Thesis for about two years now and have never started tried to use it. So, I installed it on my site to check it out.

Installation was easy and adding the Pearsonified Skin was easy based on the instructions from DIYThemes. Thesis has this concept called “boxes” which essentially are code blocks that add specific functionality to your site. I tried to add the Facebook box, but haven’t had much success as of yet.

For my personal site, a mimimalist appearance was what I really wanted. Didn’t need the sliders, the modal boxes, etc. If I decide to post some of my photography, I may use a gallery plugin or just link to a photo site. Who knows!

The important thing for me right now is to deep dive into this framework and see how I can best make use of the investment.
