My Day-to-Day Use
2008, I started using Evernote to organize ideas, projects, and more. I became a paid subscriber in 2010 and used it diligently through several price increases. In 2023, they announced a whopping 37% price increase for minor incremental improvements.
I needed a new method for organizing my writing ideas outside of that app and to use Milanote more. I exported everything out of Evernote as HTML files. Anything business-related went to Notion, and all of my writing ideas, prompts, and notes went to Milanote. I installed the app on my iPad and my mobile device.

Make sure that you are logged into Milanote and have given the extension permissions to copy images and text from your browser window. Hover over an image, right-click, and select ‘Save to Milanote.’ Save it to your Home screen or select a board from the dropdown.
Saving Text
Again, ensure you are logged into Milanote and the extension has the correct permissions. Highlight the text you are interested in, right-click, and choose ‘Save to Milanote.’ You can save the text to your Home screen or any board you choose.
Any Missing Features?
In my opinion, there aren’t any missing features. Some reviewers lamented the lack of integration with other apps, but I don’t find that a drawback. Since I’m using this for writing, I don’t need to be distracted by app integrations.
